Alford Craft Market August Bank Holiday Festival. 26th, 27th, 28th August 2006.
Manor House Gardens,

Alford Craft Market August Bank Holiday FestivalIt was a memorable and exciting time for the visitors to the festival weekend on its return to the town's picturesque Manor House. The completion of the restoration work on this important building was celebrated by everyone at this lively and famous music and craft festival. The annual gathering of musicians, artists and craftsmen always welcomed visitors to this special and safe family event. The planned programme of events was varied and for all members of the family.

The talents of numerous artists and makers from the region were on display. Everything from distinctive jewellery and ceramics to woodturning and pyrography.

An appetising array of food to sustain visitors was available both on site and within the town centre. Several displays had impromptu demonstrations by the craftspeople, who answered questions and gave advice on their techniques and designs.

The Alford Craftmarket Committee thank all the Craftsmen, Entertainers, Dancers, Singers and Musicians that took part. A special thanks to all who helped in practical ways to make this event such a great success.
