Big news about Alford Craft Market at August Bank Holiday. It was the 35th anniversary this year, and to celebrate a big re-launch with lots of new events and entertainment. 

It took place as usual in the grounds of Alford Manor House, and there was exciting things to do for both children and adults, as well as all the craft stalls,  live bands in the Music tent and Morris Dancing around the town.

These are some of the events:
Heritage Trail....used to find all sorts of interesting places in Alford, and take it back  when completed.
Logo Competition ... some of the schoolchildren have been designing a new logo for Alford Craft Market and these were judged over the weekend.
Knitting Round Trees ... surprising  Street Knitter Carol Parker will be knitting round a tree with help from you.
Paper Plane Workshop... ever wondered why yours don't fly?  Jim Bond showed how to make the ultimate paper plane.
Graffiti Demonstration .... a graffiti workshop where James Mayle will be inviting your help to decorate a 8 x 4 foot wall.
Circus Workshop ( Monday only)...With the Earthbound Misfits.
Street Theatre with Futter's Child, popular at Glastonbury last year.

As well as: Magic Show with Andy Carando, Storytelling, Face Painting,  Mud Sculptures, Punch and Judy. 

Evening entertainment organised by Alford Festival Music was at the Half Moon Hotel  where a Zydeco band, Li'l Jim's Big Squeeze played on Sunday night, and The Drones with Jonathan Someone, Poet, on Monday night.

There are Markets at Easter, Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, throughout the Summer Months, August Bank Holiday and Christmas. The Alford Craft Market promotes the manufacture of high quality, hand crafted goods in and around Lincolnshire.
